THE PARTNERS

IMA AND CHINA

IMA delivers exhibition projects in China together with a long-standing partner company operating in both Germany and China. The collaboration is based on many years of shared project experience in international trade fair construction. Project management and planning are developed in close coordination between both partners, while manufacturing and on-site installation are handled by the local partner in China.

Customers benefit from German planning expertise and local implementation experience within a well-established process – with a central point of contact providing full access to the Chinese exhibition market.

COORDINATED WORKFLOW

PROJECT PROCESS

In the initial phase, concept and design emerge – technical planning follows in close alignment, factoring in local requirements such as hall regulations, technical specifications and approval processes, which can vary from fair to fair in China.

Once the concept is approved, preparation for delivery in China begins. The partner takes on production, set-up and on-site support – ensuring that planning and implementation integrate seamlessly.

DELIVERY

LOCAL PRODUCTION IN CHINA

Exhibition stands are manufactured directly in China. International transport and most customs procedures are eliminated – reducing costs, coordination effort and lead times. Adjustments can be implemented directly on site during the project phase without dependence on international supply chains.

Depending on the project, selected components from IMA’s own production are integrated – particularly where specific materials or engineering requirements are involved. Close coordination between both partners ensures that project-specific requirements are fully considered throughout the implementation process.

International projects

EXHIBITION PROJECTS IN CHINA AND EUROPE

The model is suitable for European companies exhibiting in China, as well as for Chinese companies presenting at trade fairs in Germany or elsewhere in Europe. In both cases, the relevant market expertise is integrated into the project.

This approach combines German planning standards with local implementation – regardless of whether the exhibition presence takes place in China or Europe.
