CUSTOM AND SERIES PRODUCTION

Custom furniture production and series solutions for stores and rollout concepts

PRODUCTION

MANUFACTURING FOR SHOPFITTING

In shopfitting, furnishing elements are often produced both as bespoke solutions and in series production. While individual projects require custom furniture or presentation systems, rollout concepts depend on reproducible solutions for multiple locations.

IMA manufactures furnishing elements for stores, brand spaces and retail environments both as bespoke solutions and in series production.

BESPOKE PRODUCTION

CUSTOM STORE FURNITURE

Bespoke production is often used for individual store concepts and architecturally planned brand spaces. Furniture, presentation systems and built-in elements are specifically developed and manufactured for each retail environment.

Material selection, construction and design are precisely aligned with the spatial structure, product range and intended use of the respective store.

SERIES PRODUCTION

STORE NETWORKS AND SERIES SOLUTIONS

For rollout and store network concepts, furniture and furnishing elements are often produced in series. This allows multiple locations to be equipped with identical or standardised furnishing elements.

Series production plays a particularly important role in rollout concepts. It enables consistent quality, predictable production processes and efficient implementation of rollout projects within shopfitting.

MATERIALS

MATERIALS AND ENGINEERING

A wide range of materials is combined for bespoke and series production. Wood-based materials, metal structures, glass, HPL and coated surfaces are used depending on the intended application and design concept.

Construction, material selection and craftsmanship are aligned with the function, load requirements and design of the respective furnishing Elements.

PRODUCTION

TECHNOLOGY AND CRAFTSMANSHIP

IMA manufactures furniture and furnishing elements within its own production facilities. Joinery, metal fabrication and modern CNC machining centres work closely together throughout the production process.

Digital manufacturing technology and skilled craftsmanship complement each other to ensure reproducible components and consistently high quality.

DEVELOPMENT

FROM PROTOTYPE TO SERIES PRODUCTION

For rollout concepts and new store formats, furnishing elements are often initially developed as prototypes. Based on these prototypes, construction, materials and production processes are further refined and optimised.

IMA supports projects from the first prototype through to series production. This allows construction, material usage and installation processes to be aligned at an early stage with reproducible series solutions in shopfitting.

QUALITY

QUALITY IN MANUFACTURING

Bespoke and series production are subject to the same quality standards. Construction, material selection and craftsmanship are reviewed and documented within defined production processes.

Standardised workflows in production and coordinated manufacturing steps ensure consistent quality – regardless of whether individual furniture pieces or larger series for store networks are being produced.
