COUNTER CONSTRUCTION

Sales counters and reception areas for stores and brand spaces

FIT-OUT

COUNTERS IN SHOPFITTING

In shopfitting, counters are central points of interaction between customers and staff. They fulfil functions such as consultation, sales and checkout handling.

As part of the retail environment, counters structure the space and create clearly defined areas for consultation, reception and checkout functions.

IMA develops and manufactures sales counters for stores, showrooms and brand spaces.

FUNCTION

RECEPTION AND SALES

Depending on the intended use, counters can fulfil different functions. In stores, they often serve as checkout or consultation areas, while in showrooms and brand spaces they are used as reception and information points.

Alongside the external design, ergonomic requirements, storage space, technical integration and operational workflows all play an important role in the planning of a counter.

PRODUCTION

MATERIALS AND ENGINEERING

The production of counters requires precise planning and high-quality materials. Wood-based materials, metal structures, glass, HPL and lacquered surfaces are combined depending on the intended use and design concept.

Additional materials such as mineral composites, natural stone and stainless steel can also be integrated depending on the design concept and functional requirements.

IMA manufactures counters and further fit-out elements within its own production facilities. This allows engineering, material selection and execution to be precisely aligned with each individual store project.

INTEGRATION

COUNTERS IN STORE CONCEPTS

Counters are generally not planned as isolated elements, but as part of the overall store concept. Design, positioning and function are aligned with the spatial structure, customer flow and presentation areas of the retail environment.

The result is sales counters that integrate seamlessly into the architectural concept of a store while fulfilling functional requirements in day-to-day retail operations.

APPLICATION AREAS

COUNTERS FOR BRAND SPACES

Counters are used across a wide range of retail and presentation environments. In shopfitting projects, they often serve as checkout zones, consultation areas or reception points within a store.

In showrooms and brand spaces, counters also function as reception and information areas while structuring communication between visitors and staff.

IMA develops and manufactures counters as part of store projects, brand spaces and further presentation environments within shopfitting projects.

TECHNOLOGY

TECHNOLOGY AND FUNCTION

Modern sales counters often fulfil more than just a design function. Checkout systems, lighting, power outlets, cable management and cooling technology are structurally integrated into the sales counter or checkout area.

Technical requirements, maintenance access and operational workflows are already taken into account during the planning phase. The result is counters that integrate seamlessly into the store concept while reliably fulfilling functional requirements in day-to-day operations.

IMA handles the delivery and installation of counters directly as part of the respective store project.
