CNC laser cutting machine for sheet metal processing in trade fair and retail construction

MANUFACTURING

Engineering-driven production

PRODUCTION

AT THE AßLAR SITE

IMA manufactures components and assemblies at its own facility in Aßlar. Wood and metal fabrication, as well as surface finishing through painting and powder coating, are integrated at the site.

Planning, engineering and production are located in direct proximity and closely coordinated. Short internal distances enable immediate feedback throughout the production process.

MATERIALS

PROCESSING

Wood, metal, plastics and glass are processed in production, individually or in combination. This enables the manufacture of complex assemblies and structural components with short production lead times.

CNC-supported machining and manual finishing are combined according to project requirements. Material thicknesses, connection systems and surface finishes are precisely defined and checked for accuracy of fit.

Production is carried out with careful consideration for stability, load-bearing capacity and reusability.

SURFACES

POWDER COATING

IMA operates a powder coating line with a total area of 720 m² at its facility in Aßlar. Components up to 6 m in length and weighing up to 2 t can be processed in-house.

In addition to powder coating, wet lacquering of wood and metal components takes place in the company’s own paint shop.

The automated process covers pre-treatment, coating and curing. Further processing takes place immediately afterwards within the integrated production process.

TECHNOLOGY

MACHINING AND CRAFTSMANSHIP

CNC machining centres, panel saws, edge banding machines, as well as paint and surface finishing systems form the technical foundation of the woodworking process. Metal fabrication incorporates laser cutting systems, punch-laser machines and CNC press brakes.

The combination of advanced technical equipment and experienced specialists enables controlled and reproducible manufacturing, regardless of project size or complexity.

QUALITY

HIGH DEGREE OF VERTICAL INTEGRATION

CAD-supported engineering and CAM interfaces for CNC manufacturing ensure high precision and dimensional accuracy. Processing quality and surface finishes are continuously monitored throughout production.

Any deviations can be corrected immediately, as engineering and production are located in direct proximity and closely coordinated. This allows installation processes to be technically prepared in advance, reducing the need for rework on site at the exhibition.
